ABOUT EUL
About Enhanced Use Leases
Enhanced Use Leases are opportunities for the Air Force to partner with private or public entities by leasing non-excess real property assets in exchange for cash or in-kind consideration. Through a competitive process, the Air Force Enhanced Use Lease Program engages private sector or public entities to acquire and leverage value from non-excess real estate assets on Air Force installations. Mirroring a private sector transaction, the EUL’s value proposition is competitive on cost and speed of execution.
Private industry can use the leased property to develop:
- conventional and alternate/renewable energy generation assets
- cogeneration, solar farms, wind tunnels, and biomass
- office space, flight line and hangar facilities
- warehouses and industrial buildings
- laboratories and research & development facilities
- hospitals and medical facilities
- hotels and temporary lodging
The Air Force has developed a Frequently Asked Questions page available here.
